Behind the Scenes with Jack Harrer and Darius Ferdynand in London (Bel Ami, October 2016)

Judging by the number of clips they have been producing along these lines, Bel Ami have obviously found that there is quite a market for their Docu-Porn BTS genre (BTS = Behind the Scenes for those who didn't already know).  This one has an interesting history, as the encounter between Darius Ferdynand and Jack Harrer in London was released by Naked Sword in their International Playboys DVD which was also released in separate scenes online (reviewed here).  For me there is always an added dimension of eroticism watching gay porn being made, seeing the actors performing in front of the camera.  I suppose I imagine what it must be like to be doing that, and it seems to me it must be really great!  But it's also interesting to see the good humour, patience, and expertise in action, and also to see the reverse when things get tiring or go wrong.  In this particular encounter there was both a photoshoot and a video clip scene being filmed, and it is clear that the photoshoot was taking a great deal of time, which played on Jack's patience ... and it showed at the end.  But, professional as he is, he didn't let it come over in the action itself, as we have already seen in my review.  You do get to see a good deal besides what was shot in the studio, and there is an sequence filmed for Prowler in London, my favourite gay porn shop when I'm there.  Oh to have been there on this particular occasion!!!  I know this won't be to everyone's taste, and it probably won't bear repeated watching, but I really did enjoy it, especially having seen the final product beforehand.
